Roman and Roller Blinds
All of our roman blinds are supplied on cassette headrails with the Elite Breakaway Mechanism, perfect for a child-safe operation. There is no need for the chain to be secured to the wall with a safety device with these headrails. All roman blind headrails are supplied with universal brackets for top/face fix. All roller blinds conform to child saftey regulations and are supplied with relevant safety devices.
It is important that you install the blind following the manufacturers instructions regarding the safety features
Recess Fitting (inside)
Measure in 3 places for both width and drop -use the smallest measurements.
Don’t make any deductions as for roman blinds we will deduct 1cm from the width but only 0.5cm from the drop to ensure a good fit.
Check that recess is deep enough to fit blind allowing for obstructions such as window handles.
If you have tiles part way up the wall inside of recess then measure between the tiles for the width.
This also applies to picture rails or similar obstructions.
Outside recess
Please give us the exact measurements that you want your blind made to.
To minimize light leakage we recommend the blind overlaps recess by at least 5cm all the way round.
The length of the blind is a matter of personal choice – take into consideration radiators etc.
