Always use a metal tape measure as fabric ones can stretch and be inaccurate.
It is important to measure your curtain pole/track width and provide us with this measurement and not the window size.
If fitting a new pole or track it is recommended that it extends 15-20cm either side of the window and generally approx. 15cm above.
When measuring a curtain pole simply measure between the finials/end caps. For a curtain track measure the complete track.
To work out your curtain drop…either measure length of existing curtains (if you are happy with them) or measure from where you would like them to sit at the top (generally from the underside of the curtain ring on a pole or from top of track) down to where you would like them to finish.
If you are having full length curtains we normally recommend allowing 1cm from the floor to stop them rubbing and getting dirty etc.
The length of your curtain is personal preference, take into consideration radiators etc. We will make the curtains to the length you have provided.
We will calculate the fullness required for your chosen heading from your pole/track width provided.
Our eyelets will fit a 28mm pole. We can provide larger eyelets, please call us to discuss. Measure from the top of pole to where you would like your curtain to finish. We will add 3cm of fabric above the top underside of eyelet where it sits on the pole. (We automatically add this so there is no need for you to calculate – please only provide measurement from top of pole)
